It’s high time for Museum Night 2026 – Mennica Polska invites you to a special evening

13 may 2026

The sound of commemorative tokens being minted, drifting from the area around the Palace on the Island in Łazienki Park, can only mean one thing – the long-awaited Night of Museums kicks off this Saturday, 16 May. As every year, Mennica Polska has prepared a host of attractions!

The world’s oldest mint will, as is now tradition, set up a specially designed area where everyone can get a close-up look at the art of coin-making and discover the secrets of this fascinating craft. The highlight of the evening will be a coin-striking demonstration led by an experienced mint master. This is the only opportunity of the year to see a master at work live and take home a unique commemorative token, struck right before the audience’s eyes. Next to it, there will be a mint chill-out zone with deckchairs and tables. Here, you can relax, chat and, above all, savour the magical atmosphere of this special evening.

The Night of Museums is an event which, since 2004, has brought together hundreds of thousands of residents and tourists, opening the doors of cultural institutions that are usually inaccessible on a daily basis. Thanks to the commitment of museum staff, artists, volunteers and history enthusiasts, the capital comes alive from dusk till dawn, offering extraordinary encounters with culture and art.

Mennica Polska warmly invites all lovers of history, craftsmanship and unique stories to join us in celebrating this extraordinary night.
