Since the beginning of the year, customers of the Mint of Poland have received almost 1.5 tonnes of gold, mainly in the form of bars and investment coins. The Mint's own products have always accounted for the largest share of sales - more than 50% of the value of all investment gold sales. What was the most popular? We know the answer!

Gold investment products

In recent months, gold ducats and silver thalers featuring the image of General Kazimierz Pułaski have been the best-selling investment products offered by the Mint of Poland. Customers appreciated them not only as an investment with the potential to increase in value over time, but also because of their attractive theme. The Mint of Poland's online shop now offers the Gold Ducat in three versions (1 ounce, ½ ounce, ¼ ounce). A one-ounce silver thaler is also available.

The most popular yellow bullion bars were those with the Mint of Poland logo: 2-gram bars (the highest result in terms of quantity) and 100-gram bars (the highest result in terms of revenue). Own label bars of 1 and 5 grams were next in terms of units sold and 31.1 and 50 grams in terms of revenue.

Physical investment gold is an attractive investment for all budgets. The Polish Mint recently introduced 0.5 and 0.25 gram bars. This is a response to the needs of people who want to systematically invest even small amounts as a so-called safe haven. The purchase of the smallest bar of the yellow metal currently costs around PLN 105.

Investment in silver bars and coins

In the first three quarters of this year, the Mint of Poland's customers received around 800 kilograms of silver in the form of bars and bullion coins. Silver bestsellers were a one-ounce coin of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (the highest result in terms of quantity) and a 500-gram bar with the Mint of Poland logo (the highest result in terms of value).

A treat for those looking for a silver coin in a unique setting was a project commemorating an outstanding poet. The one-ounce coin, made of the purest metal, was minted in a limited edition of 700 pieces to commemorate the centenary of Wisława Szymborska's birth.
