LBMA – a guarantee of the highest standards in the area of production and trade in gold investment products
Mint of Poland is the oldest mint in Poland with its own production facility, and at the same time, one of the most technologically advanced in the world. As an Affiliate Member of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), it has recently received confirmation of the highest production quality and full transparency in the precious metals trading industry.
The trust in the brand is reflected in the over 70% share of proprietary products in the total gold investment sales.
Mint of Poland’s ability to meet high standards of corporate social responsibility is reflected, among other things, in the production of bullion bars and coins exclusively from ethical gold. This is especially important in the context of the growing importance of sustainable development.
– Honesty, transparency, and credibility are the foundations of our business. For this reason, we strongly identify with the standards set by LBMA. Values related to ethical production, purity of the precious metal, and high quality are extremely important to us. Full control over maintaining these stringent standards is ensured by our full commitment at every stage of production – from sourcing raw materials, through design, to the creation of the final product. In 2022, we also launched a new casting line, which allows us to produce so-called blanks and discs that meet both our domestic needs and strengthen our position in cooperation with foreign partners – says Katarzyna Budnicka-Filipiuk, President and CEO of Mint of Poland.
Innovation, alongside the commitment to the highest standards, is embedded in Mint of Poland's DNA. It was the first to introduce gold bars to the Polish market shortly after the country joined the European Union. Mint of Poland was also a pioneer in creating different milling for various coin denominations – a system that was later used to mint euro coins. This method played a significant role not only in the security and protection of currency emissions but also in addressing the needs of visually impaired and blind individuals who required a fast and easy way to differentiate between currency denominations. In the collector coin segment, Mint of Poland was a pioneer in producing spatial coins. The realization of bold visions always goes hand in hand with respecting the traditions and achievements of previous generations.
The history of Mint of Poland, its unique features, and its contribution to the LBMA community were detailed in the latest edition of The Alchemist, the prestigious magazine published by the London Bullion Market Association. We invite you to read it!
