Captivating Coin Premiers by Mint of Poland at the World Money Fair in Berlin
During the prestigious World Money Fair 2025, held last week in Berlin, Mint of Poland once again surprised visitors with an original presentation of its products. The central theme was the idea that each coin tells a unique story. The main highlight of the exhibition focused on a series of coins inspired by the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales.
Fairy Tales Captured in Coins
World Money Fair is the largest coin and minting art exhibition in the world. During this year’s edition, the debut collection "Grimm’s Fairy Tales Revisited" was introduced, offering contemporary interpretations of classic stories. The collection blends tradition with modernity, drawing on themes of transformation, freedom, and discovering one’s true identity.
In addition to the Grimm Brothers-inspired series, Mint of Poland wowed visitors with many other original projects. Special interest was drawn by coins such as "Cleopatra," "Mask of Shu," and the new series "Treasures of World Painting." The first coins issued by Mint of Poland in euros also made their debut at the World Money Fair 2025: "Town Hall Clocks" and "Majolikas," created in collaboration with a new issuer—Malta.
This year's booth theme attracted the attention of attendees, offering them a chance to immerse themselves in a fairy tale world where various coins grew on trees, framed or in special book-boxes. Over a thousand people also seized the unique opportunity to generate their portraits in a fairy-tale setting at a special photo booth using an artificial intelligence-powered app.
A Perfect Setting for Exceptional Coin Premieres
The World Money Fair annually gathers coin dealers, mint manufacturers, central banks, and technical experts—making the scale of the event truly impressive, as evidenced by the participation of around 300 exhibitors from over 50 countries, showcasing their offerings on approximately 9,000 square meters of exhibition space in total.
