Construction

The construction of the plant launched in March 2015 and lasted less than a year. The documentation of the project was prepared by the company Egis Polska Inżynieria Sp. z o.o. and the specialists from the Mint of Poland: Andrzej Jaworski, Piotr Kraszewski, Dariusz Cichowski, Marek Król and Lech Piasecki. The construction process was supervised by Eng. Hubert Żdanuk.

Form and Function

The form of the facility was determined by its industrial function. The main area of the plot was devoted to the production plant, with the entrance placed in the close proximity of the existing office complex. The warehouse is accessible both from the inside and the outside of the building (from the eastern side).

Comfort

Windows facing south and west allow maximum light into the building. The interiors are equipped with the skylights providing our employees with comfort and safety. In addition to this, the delivery and logistics zone is equipped with a special roof which helps to load up and unload the vehicles in adverse weather conditions.

The Forge

“The Forge” – this is the nickname of our production plant located in the Annopol 3 str., Warsaw. The name was chosen in a poll conducted among the employees of the Mint of Poland. With the volume of 50,000 cubic meters, the facility is the heart of the company and the place where we create the most technologically advanced coins in the world.
