Yogi Bear was the first breakout character created by Hanna-Barbera Productions. He made his debut in 1958 in “The Huckleberry Hound Show”. Three years later when he became more popular than Huckleberry he was given his own “The Yogi Bear Show”. Yogi as a resident of the fictional Jellystone National Park, whose name was a reference to the Yellowstone, the oldest national park in the world, together with his companion Boo Boo Bear primarily dealt with acquiring food, preferably by stealing picnic baskets from campers.
